Nearby (which all relative when you live in the country) is a small train that runs for charitable events. I've been watching it all summer, trying to find a day when it was running that was good for us. And it finally happend on a day for the Childrens' Advocacy Center.
The kids were about to bust despite a line that had us waiting just a little more than 30 minutes.
This is a permanent set up and the train takes you through a little town. You can see The Daisy was enjoying it.
The Boo, who loves trains, gave a wave as we went by. We sat in the caboose, which was ok since it was a little cool out.

This was cute - while we were waiting, The Daisy was trying to engage this baby and I appreciated her nurturing skills:
